A little backstory before I get to this cute proposal: Emily was the maid of honor for her best friend’s wedding that I photographed in 2016. Since, she’s continued to follow me.
When her and Etornam talked about getting married, Emily expressed to him how much she wanted me to photograph her wedding once the time came. So, with the help of her best friend Laura (my bride from 2016), Etornam planned a proposal and asked me to photograph it unbeknownst to Emily.
Assuming they’d get engaged soon with that feeling in her gut, she emailed me for wedding pricing information to get the ball rolling to book me for the future wedding. I smiled to myself, keeping my cool, when answering her email because Etornam had already hired me for the proposal.
Etornam planned to take her for a little picnic lunch Rockwood Park in Wilmington, DE. Emily says when he asked her to go to the park for the day, she felt in her gut that the proposal was coming. Even though the proposal wasn’t quite a total surprise, me photographing it was! Her face when she saw me there was hilarious.
Aftewards, we walked around the park grounds and did a little engagement session/post-proposal photoshoot, ending with their picnic lunch. Because, why the heck not?!
So excited for their wedding at The Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, PA!
