The Office
I’ve got this!
I live in the mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania in Montrose which is minutes away from the border of upstate New York by Binghamton. I grew up in the suburbs right outside of Philadelphia, so I photograph weddings all over PA, NY, and NJ.
An emphatic “Yes, please!” I’ve traveled to many amazing locations for both weddings and sessions including Las Vegas, Maine, Missouri, California, Montana, North Carolina, Ireland, Mexico, Italy, and Anguilla. I’m always up for an adventure (truly, I’m a travel-holic), so let me know where you are or where you’re going and I’ll let you know how to get me there!
This varies depending on the year, but my average is between 20 to 30 each year. I have been in business since I was 18 and have photographed about 400+ weddings now. I’m full-time in my business so my couples are my full-time priority – but I never take on more than I can handle per year!
When I talk about using film, I'm referring to photographic negatives that are developed in the darkroom; the medium we used before digital cameras existed. I'm not referring to videography in any form. I could write pages and pages about why I use it, but to keep it short; it’s simply beautiful. The way film captures light, texture, detail, and color is yet to be matched. However, film is expensive, finicky, and unrealistic to use exclusively so I'm a “hybrid” photographer, which means I use both film and digital mediums/cameras. This way, you still get the timelessness, romanticism, and detail of film with the accuracy and dependency of digital. All my film is scanned, so you will receive all of the digital & film images in a cohesive and seamless online gallery – I keep the original negatives just like I do the RAW digital files.
Oh my new friend, I’ve heard a variation of that from almost every single couple that I’ve photographed. No, really. And I’ve photographed more than 400 weddings now. I’ve only photographed a couple with previous modeling experience a handful of times. I’m just convinced it’s because you haven’t been in front of my camera yet! All of the couples laughing and looking like they’re sharing a private joke in my photos have told me the same thing. Over the years I’ve become the master (or magician) of tricking my couples into loosening up and feeling comfortable in photos. Okay, the first 10 minutes in front of the camera is hard but I’ll walk you through that feeling and how to embrace the suck. By the end, you’ll tell me how much better that was than you expected. Part of the reason I get such natural looking photos is because I don’t put you into stiff poses, make you look at the camera much (gotta get one or two to make the parents happy), but rather I help you get into candid laughter on your own. Most of the photos I take and deliver are the “in between moments” of you laughing at how silly you feel in front of the camera or the moment you turn to look at each other. That’s where the magic is.
Yes and yes. I'm a proud supporter of LGBTQIA+ rights, the Black Lives Matter movement, and am passionate about diversity, inclusion, and representation. Which I hope is already made very clear on every page of my website and in my portfolio. Any race, religion (or non-religion), sexual orientation, gender identity, body, and disability is welcome and celebrated here.
I do not offer videography services or photo booth coverage at this time but I can send referrals for amazing companies that I love who do!
I use all professional grade equipment for both digital and film so I come with the best of the best and back-ups for absolutely everything. I have yet to have a true equipment crisis at a wedding because I bring back ups with me in case something malfunctions. Not today, Satan. I also backup all files onto several backup drives so if my computer or a hard drive malfunctions, all of your files are safe through several layers of backup. Not TODAY, Satan!
Absolutely! I can create a custom quote for you depending on the hours of coverage and inclusions you’d like if the provided wedding collections weren’t quite the right fit. Let’s call it an A La Carte option. Just let me know what you’re thinking and we can chat through it!
Yes! One reason that I love my job so very much is because I‘ve gotten to work with some amazing vendors who have become friends. I can send over my list of preferred vendors once your date is booked with me!
This answer varies on a lot of factors, but typical coverage is 8 hours. I love to help my couples create their wedding day timelines so I can absolutely help you determine how much coverage you’d need for everything you want documented. And you can always start small for now and then add on extra hours of coverage later if you decide you need extra time.
Maybe! But even if I haven’t, don’t let that deter you. It’s so exciting to be at new venues that I haven’t been to before. I feel more creative, refreshed, and inspired than if I’m at the same venues a lot. I always arrive at least half an hour early so I can walk around and check out the venue when I get there! New venues are such a welcome breath of fresh air for us wedding vendors.
Engagement sessions typically range between 40-60 images. Weddings typically range between 50 to 100 photos per hour of coverage.
I spend a lot of time on each wedding gallery myself and each image gets attention. Being both a film & digital photographer, I wait a few weeks to get the film scans back and then I take the time to match my digital files to the beautiful tones of the film. This process takes some love and attention, but the absolute longest that you’ll wait for a full gallery to be finished and delivered to you is 12 weeks. But, since waiting is the worst, I do send sneak peeks of some of the digital images just a few days after the wedding to share with family and friends as you wait for the full gallery. And so you can spam social media and brag about being newlyweds, naturally.
Absolutely! I send full wedding galleries to each inquiry that I receive but if you’d like to see even more, just ask. I love showing them off.
Hell yes! All that I require is a $2,000 non-refundable retainer to reserve your date on my schedule and for you both to sign my contract to make this official. After you've paid the retainer, you'll have two remaining payment schedules with me. The second payment will be due 4 months before the wedding date and will be half of the remaining total. The final payment will be due 1 month before the wedding. All wedding packages will have 6% PA sales tax added on to your invoice.
