Kate & Kevin had a winter wedding in February at the restaurant & wedding venue Battello in Jersey City, NJ. This was my last full wedding before the COVID pandemic hit. Truth be told, looking back at these photos reminds me how carefree and relaxed we all were. How lucky that they got to have the wedding of their dreams without any restrictions or thought in their head of what was to come just a month before the shutdowns!

They opted for a first look as they arrived to Battello. It was emotional right from the start. As soon as Kevin turned around and Kate saw him, her eyes welled up with tears immediately. Once she walked down that empty aisle and almost reached him, those tears starting spilling and fast. It was an emotional moment for both of them especially since in their ten years of dating, Kevin had battled and beat cancer, they were truly grateful to be reaching this monumental day in their lives together.

Afterwards, we utilized Battello for all of their portraits and getting some shots with NYC’s skyline in the distance. As the sun set, their ceremony started. Their guests had a view of the NYC skyline through the wall-to-wall windows in front of Kate & Kevin as they read their vows to each other. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room after their vows and their expression of gratitude and love for making it through a cancer diagnosis together and an uncertain future.

Truth be told, it was an incredible night with stunning personalized decor and heartfelt intimate moments of their love for one another.
