Danielle and Jared began like many modern romances – a dating app. Danielle even mentioned giving Jared a chance after he completly missed her joking pick up line. Total fail. In the end, they were brought together by their love of heavy metal, humor, pizza, and The Office.
“I don’t know what you want me to tell you, man. All I know is that every time I’ve been faced with a tough decision, there’s only one thing that outweighs every other concern. One thing that will make you give up on everything you thought you knew, every instinct, every rational calculation—love.” – Jim
First, we went to Bowman’s Tower Wildflower Preserve in New Hope, PA for their engagement session. Bowman’s Tower even in winter and without wildflowers blooming, the preserve is perfect for engagement photos. It offers a big beautiful old historic house, a barn with sheep, a red barn on the wildflower side, and fields with tall billowy grass. This made for the perfect backdrop to allow them to run wild and for Danielle’s yellow dress to pop.
Lastly, we knew we wanted to incorporate their love for metal into their engagement session. Especially since they went to a total of 14 metal concerts in just one year together. Damn. So, we were able to accomplish this with their second outfit and location. We ended the session on the Wing Dam that juts out into the Delaware River between Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA. The long concrete slab, still winter water, and fallen logs and branches on the Wing Dam was a great match in vibes with their outfit change.
