A Gratitude and Grace wedding in the Finger Lakes has all the natural beauty of Upstate New York and conveniences of Ithaca. From the Victorian home to the restored barn with vintage furniture, Gratitude and Grace is bright and spacious. Emily and Victor’s ceremony and reception were loving and lively.
Gratitude and Grace has everything you could want in a Finger Lakes wedding venue on a sprawling property. It includes a Victorian house, gardens, and a barn. All these options mean there are awesome options for indoor and outdoor events throughout the wedding day.
Gratitude and Grace features a beautifully restored Victorian house. Consequently, wedding preparations can take place in comfort. The Bridal Suite is especially well lit by floor-to-ceiling windows. They’re ideal for capturing classic getting ready moments. Couples and their guests can even rent rooms to stay the weekend. This saves finding separate accommodations for some guests. The house also has a pool, so guests can swim to unwind after summer weddings!
Indoor receptions at Gratitude and Grace typically happen in the spacious barn. Although it looks simple from the outside, the barn is warmly lit by chandeliers and market lights. Dining tables can be set up with a quirky mix of chairs. Florals, candles, and tablescaping bring color to the natural wood of the space. Emily and Victor’s tablescapes did a great job of tying elegant glassware and splashes of color.
Another way that Gratitude and Grace is different from other wedding venues in the Finger Lakes is the mixture of styles in the decor. Vintage couches and chairs give the barn an unexpected chic touch. It’s a good mixture of romance and fun.
A Gratitude and Grace wedding can’t help but be beautiful. The property, set in the hills of the Finger Lakes of upstate New York, offers many options for ceremony and reception locations outdoors. Gardens overflow with flowers. The lush fields and groves of trees, with their views of lake and hills, are perfect for portraits.
Couples choose a Finger Lakes wedding venue like Gratitude and Grace because it has the natural beauty of Upstate New York paired within close proximity to Ithaca’s city center. Ithaca is a college town with a thriving, walkable town center. Even if your guests choose not to stay at Gratitude and Grace, it will be easy for them to find accommodations and entertainment in town.
If you want to highlight local wine and beer at your wedding, the Finger Lakes are bursting with wineries and breweries. These are some of the main draws for New Yorkers who love to vacation in the area. A Gratitude and Grace wedding could easily highlight these local spirits.
As you can see from the portraits, we added some surprising color to Emily and Victor’s photos with vintage furniture. The textures also provided contrast and interest, setting the portraits apart from the usual hand-on-waist prom poses. Finger Lakes wedding venues like Gratitude and Grace offer opportunities for playful pictures that capture couples’ personalities.
When New Yorkers Emily and Victor started planning their wedding, they decided they wanted to escape the city. Family would be coming all the way from Israel, so Emily and Victor hoped to show them some of the Finger Lakes’ natural beauty. Gratitude and Grace presented the perfect destination – not too far from New York City and close to the conveniences of downtown Ithaca.
Emily and Victor were a joy to photograph! They’re artists with silly sides. What could be more fun? Their Gratitude and Grace wedding was full of smiles and laughter.
On top of this, the wedding was an international affair with family members flying in from Israel to attend. Emily and Victor incorporated Jewish traditions throughout the ceremony. Colorful rugs led up the aisle to a huppah which was draped with florals. They shared a cup of wine to celebrate their joy and signed a beautiful ketubah to mark their coming together. The shady grove at Gratitude and Grace provided a peaceful backdrop.
Once the ceremony was over, the party could begin! The Silver Arrow Band filled Gratitude and Grace’s wedding barn with music, and excited guests lifted Emily and Victor up for the horah.
